Recognizing the need to reduce the number of deaths and diseases from air, water and soil pollution, the members of the United Nations called for the first International Day of Clean Air and Blue Sky – September 7, 2020.
The UN estimates that 7 million people die each year from air pollution. It causes respiratory, infectious and heart diseases, stroke and lung cancer. “Children who breathe dirty air develop asthma, chronic pulmonary insufficiency, diabetes, growth retardation, childhood obesity and mental retardation,” the organization said. Scientists have also found that a polluted environment affects the psyche of adolescents.
No wonder air pollution is called the “invisible killer” – it is something that kills gradually. It kills 800 people every hour.
The capital of our country this year several times got into the TOP 5 cities with the dirtiest air. In addition, 39 other cities of Ukraine, including Mariupol, Kamyanske, Odessa, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia and Kremenchuk, occupy high positions in this ranking.

Air pollution is a global problem with long-range impacts due to its long-distance transportation. In the absence of aggressive intervention, the number of premature deaths caused by air pollution is projected to increase by more than 50 percent by 2050.

In addition to the impact on human health, polluted air affects changes on our planet: climate change, extinction of living species; animals and plants, water and soil pollution.
In the final document of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, entitled “The Future We Want”, countries are committed to promoting sustainable development policies that support healthy air quality in the context of sustainable cities and towns. In addition, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which outlines a roadmap for sustainable development, environmental protection and prosperity for all, recognizes that reducing air pollution is important for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Clean air for our country is the adoption of inconvenient requirements for businesses and their owners, enshrined in law. Which act not only on paper, but are actually implemented.
Therefore, we must monitor what air we breathe and, if possible, affect its purity. At home, this is the ventilation of the room, its humidification, when using the air conditioner – its regular cleaning.
If your work is a natural supply of air, the methods for its purification are similar to those in your apartment.
But you should pay attention, if the office or apartment is located on the white road, then ventilation should be done when the slightest movement of cars. And, if the air conditioner works, it needs to be cleaned even more often.
If you work in a room with flow ventilation, then this system is responsible for air quality throughout the building. It also needs regular cleaning. And it is necessary to clean not only filters, but also ventilating channels on all length. Dirty ventilation is not only an additional burden on the engine, but also the risk of various diseases in people working in this building.
Our company provides ventilation cleaning services and our experience gives us the right to say that if you look at the ventilation, which is even in the cleanest office, you will see mountains of dust and dirt. The ventilation system needs the same regular cleaning as the rest of the room.
Clean your ventilation at least once a year, breathe clean air and stay healthy.
