5 Zero Waste rules

Only the lazy did not hear about Greta Tunberg and her environmental initiatives. But few know Beu Johnson, the well-known blogger and eco-activist, founder of the Zero Waste movement (zero waste).

To put it simply, the whole concept of Zero Waste consists of five simple rules formulated by Bea Johnson. These are the so-called 5R rules:

  1. Refuse or Reject
  2. Reduce or reduce consumption
  3. Reuse + Repair or Reuse and Repair
  4. Recycle or Recycle
  5. Rot – Composting

Zero Waste begins with giving up unnecessary things. Use the things you already have to reduce consumption and conserve resources. Replace all disposable items with reusable items, and instead of throwing things away, repair them! Hand over the trash you have left over and recycle the compost from the organic matter.

We are all prone to impulse purchases, and obviously a couple of unpacked things were lying there somewhere. The Zero Waste movement is first and foremost a critical approach to shopping and consumption. Do we really need this thing? If it is cheap, then what are the savings there?

After all, to avoid garbage in the first place you should not buy it.

Global debris on the planet begins with each of us.

Yes, the accumulation of debris, pollution of the planet can lead to irreversible consequences. But these are the consequences of the planet -not, our planet saw and not.

But we, as a species, may well disappear, unable to adjust to change. And they are more likely to happen in the future if we remain a thoughtless type of consumer.
