Cleaning. New reality

Evolution is a long journey of change. But sometimes, even evolution is revolutionary.

The current pandemic has proved to be a force that has revolutionized the world. At this time, we still know very little about COVID-19, much less the consequences that await us.

Personal hygiene and cleanliness have already come in the first row of the fight against the virus. At one point, cleaning became the force that took the brunt.

If doctors are already working with the consequence, treating people who are already ill, cleaners are working ahead and doing everything to minimize the disease.

Cleaning is what evolved in the first place. Disinfection, disinfestation, and once again disinfection has become essential in cleaning. If you are an office, shop or production, you can no longer expect only one morning or evening cleaning. Now, in order to withstand today’s challenge and remain a healthy society, we need to keep clean. And, when it comes to permanent cleaning, it is precisely the disinfection of surfaces that is most commonly encountered by a person.

In a very short period of time cleaning companies have revised their cleaning methods. Now every cleaner is also a regular disinfectant.

Disinfection used to be a one-off service that was done on rare occasions. And several years ago companies that did disinfection in Ukraine needed to be licensed for this type of activity.

But in two months this procedure became not only routine but also vital. And we should expect that cleaning with disinfection will come into our lives forever. What was initially thought to be a temporary measure that was urgently implemented to combat COVID-19, should become a permanent action to save humanity from further diseases.

Every cleaner should already be familiar with disinfectants, their dosage and use on different surfaces.

After all, disinfection is not only washing the floor, wiping different surfaces, but also cleaning upholstered furniture, carpets, carpet, ventilation and more.

Disinfection services with the help of a cold mist generator are becoming more and more in demand. If the room is clean, then the process of disinfection with a cold mist generator is much faster than a thorough disinfectant to wipe the surface. But if you combine these two disinfection procedures —wiping and cold mist treatment — you get a perfectly clean and perfectly disinfected room.

And if you look into the future, it can be assumed that a cold mist generator will be fitted next to the vacuum cleaner and the mop.

The world is changing and so are cleaning methods do. The main factor in evolution is the struggle for survival. And today, the main weapon in the fight for survival are cleanliness and disinfection.

We, as a cleaning company, have taken to disinfecting weapons since the first days of the declared quarantine. We have implemented a disinfectant cleanup on all the facilities we serve. We have introduced new cleaning cards and changed the schedule by adding extra cleaning disinfectants to surfaces that people are more likely to contact. This is our new reality of cleaning and it is with us forever.

Robots are helpers in the fight against the COVID-19 virus

The main measures taken worldwide to combat COVID-19 coronavirus are measures aimed at reducing human contact.

Isolation, movement restriction, keeping distance between people are all aimed at preventing the virus from spreading from person to person.

Distancing is good, but people have many needs that are somehow related to communicating with people, or needing to work outdoors, in the hospital, etc.

Engineers in different countries design and refine robots that can, in some cases, replace humans, and help some professions limit communication with humans.

Here are some examples where jobs are effectively replacing people.

In Wuhan, where the outbreak began, robots disinfect the streets in residential areas of the city.

A patrol robot in Shenyang Hospital, China, checks the temperature and disinfects people and rooms.

These robots are used in hospitals to reduce the needs of medical staff.

Anhui, China has a fleet of disinfecting robots ready to get started.

In Hunan, China, robot checks morning temperature of a person.

Robots are not only used for disinfection and temperature measurement. The hospital in Yizhou developed a chef’s robot for their kitchen. The robot can produce 100 portions of rice per hour.

The robot works without human supervision, minimizing the number of people in the hospital where coronavirus patients stay.

The engineering students at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok have modified medical “ninja robots” designed for stroke patients to make them useful for patients with COVID-19.

Robots can measure temperature of patients which reduces the interaction of doctors with sick people.

They also have a screen that allows doctors a video-chat with patients.

Delivery robot works in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is one of many U.S. cities that has closed all non-core businesses through COVID-19 and allowed restaurants to remain open for online delivery only.

The Starship self-propelled robot is delivering in the Emerson Valley, UK.

The robot goes to people’s doors, eliminating the need for human contact.

The world and people are changing. The way people interact, do business, business models are revised. Due to the virus, human labor will be further replaced by robots’ labor. And in the future, there will be robot-cleaner, robot-chef, “robot-I can do anything instead of people”.

5 basic COVID-19 prevention rules

The only information 100% confirmed about COVID-19 is that the virus kills regular preventative disinfection, both personal and premises.

Here are 5 basic rules for preventing COVID-19

1. Personal hand disinfection is carried out by means of alcohol content not less than 60 degrees. Therefore, study the composition of the product, the alcohol content in it should be 60-95 degrees. If the alcohol content is less, this will not help you. In this case, you should thoroughly wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. We also do not recommend drying your hand with a dryer. They accumulate various bacteria and microorganisms from the air in the room and then release them, including into your already clean hands. It is better to wipe them off with a regular towel or paper napkins.

How often do you disinfect?

If you are touching surfaces or things that are not personal, disinfect immediately. In other cases, you can set a schedule and carry out preventive disinfection every hour. Clean hands are the most important thing in the prevention of COVID-19 virus.

2. For cleaning use disinfectants containing hypochlorite sodium (chlorine) – a powerful disinfectant component. But when using it, read the operating instructions carefully. First, some detergents need to be diluted in water first, and secondly, this detergent should be on the surface for 15-20 minutes to have time to disinfect the virus. Also, the entire cleaning procedure is mandatory in gloves. The cheapest analogue of the tool – ordinary linen for bleaching fabric. Only clean surfaces need to be disinfected. Therefore, such as the floor or table, you must first remove and then disinfect.

3. Ventilate the room during the day. The amount of ventilation depends on the location and flow of people inside the room. If there are a lot of people or they move often, it should be ventilated for 5-10 minutes every hour. When you are at home, 3-4 times a day will be enough. But if the weather is good in the yard, the windows can not be closed at all.

4. If you are not working at home, you should disinfect your workplace with alcohol-containing disinfectants. Keyboard, mouse, armrests, everything you touch most. Your personal phone is the dirtiest thing, so disinfect it most often. If you have an office cleaner in addition to the mandatory disinfectant cleaning service, it should disinfect the surfaces most commonly touched (door handles, switches, handrails, elevator buttons) every hour. You should also disinfect these surfaces yourself at home.

5. A new coronavirus may exist on certain surfaces for up to three days. Researchers have found that the disease particles can live up to four hours on copper, a day on cardboard and two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. Therefore, when buying food or other things from the store, you need to take these properties of the virus into account. If you touch these things with your hands, you must disinfect them. If you bring your purchases home – you also need to either disinfect them or rinse them with water for at least 20 seconds. If you use gloves, you should remove them by twisting them and throwing them in the trash immediately.

Disinfect and stay healthy

Disinfection services are an effective means of preventing viral infections

Until the invention of the coronavirus drug, one of the most effective preventive means of preventing viral and any other infection is to carry out careful cleaning with the use of disinfectants.

We have, from the very first days, implemented new cleaning standards in companies that provide comprehensive service.

Our standards are divided into two distinct steps:

1. Standards of cleaning for mass viral diseases.
