Coronavirus fever has spread all over the world.
More and more countries are finding people infected with the virus. Almost all news begins with statistics messages of sick/recovered/dead.
According to the conclusions of the WHO, the main route of transmission is drip; the virus is practically not transmitted by air. According to preliminary findings the virus can survive no more than a few hours outside the host organism. Thus, the highest risk of contracting infection is contact with drops of fluid that the patient spreads. When a person coughs or sneezes, drops settle on the surfaces and from there the virus can be “picked up” by another person. Doctors know cases when different viruses were detected in ventilation systems and transferred through the system throughout the building.
To reduce the risk of infection, WHO recommends following basic hygiene practices:
– regularly wash their hands with soap or use alcohol containing antiseptic (disinfectants effectively destroy virus);
– when coughing and sneezing, cover the mouth and nose with a napkin or bend of the elbow; immediately throw away the napkin and wash your hands;
– keep a distance and stay away from people (especially from patients) at a distance of at least 1 m;
– if possible, do not touch the eyes, nose and mouth with your hands – this is the standard way for the virus to enter the body through infected surfaces (therefore it is so important to wash your hands)
For prophylaxis against viral infection, we, as a cleaning company, recommend cleaning the premises using disinfectants.
It is necessary to pay attention to and disinfect surfaces that are most often in contact.
If the floor, walls are unlikely to be touched by someone, then door handles, railings, light switches, a remote control from an air conditioner, etc., as a rule, touch a large number of hands, but pay little attention to them during daily cleaning.
Also, it will not be superfluous to wipe your workplace directly. If you are working at a computer, then wipe the keyboard and mouse with an alcohol wipe.
If you have cleaning only once a day, then whenever possible during the epidemic make a schedule so that cleaning is more frequent. You can do the main cleaning with a disinfectant solution and during the day it will be limited to mandatory wet wiping of surfaces.
In addition to cleaning and disinfecting the surface during the day, it is necessary to ventilate the room more often, for example, open windows for 5-7 minutes every hour.
If air is supplied to the room using a common ventilation system, it is necessary to completely disinfect the ventilation system.
There is no need to neglect safety precautions; it is better to wipe everything once again even with an ordinary alcohol solution and remain healthy.
